We are excited about the launch of the IHF Handball World Championship in Germany and Denmark, together with our partner, the German Handball Federation!
Tonight at 6:15 pm the time has come: Germany opens the Handball World Championship against the united team from Korea! The excitement and anticipation are on the increase, even at mm sports, which is responsible for the design and implementation of the Fanzones in Berlin, Munich and Cologne for the German Handball Federation (DHB). “We want to give fans an incentive to enjoy a full-day experience in and around the halls,” explains Mark Schober, CEO of the German Handball Federation.
The Fanzones offer a range of attractions for the audience, the supporting program is deliberately designed for different target groups: primary school children can prove themselves on a “Fan Mini Pitch” as future handball stars in Berlin. Historical reviews from the world of handball are provided by the “Walk of History”, in which young and old can immerse themselves visually. In addition, lounge corners are offered for relaxation. The more stands and attractions the spectators visit, the faster their “Fanzone Pass” fills, with which one not only collects a small reward, but also special impressions of the subject of handball. With the “Club-Finder” anyone can find the right club in his area, in order to further develop his skills after the Handball World Championship. “We just want to inspire children and young people by attending the World Cup matches to do a trial training in a club” explains Schober.
