In 2028, the men’s EHF EURO will be held in Switzerland, Portugal and Spain. This was announced by the Swiss Handball Federation (SHV) at the EHF Congress in Vienna on Saturday. The trio of applicants led by the SHV presented a convincing joint concept, which includes the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, home ground of Real Madrid, as the venue for the final weekend.

Now it’s official: Dominik Klein, Handball World Champion and Managing Director of BHV-Marketing GmbH, started the Handball Campus Munich non-profit project with his partner Christian Emrich, also a passionate handball player and Incident Commander at Munich Fire Brigade.

In June 2018, Germany was awarded the EHF EURO 2024, and now it has been decided where it will be played: The European Men’s Handball Championship, which will be held in Germany for the first time in January 2024, will start in Düsseldorf. Other host cities are Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne, which already hosted the IHF Handball World Championship 2019. The city of Mannheim was able to assert itself as the sixth host.

“New Heights for Handball” – this is the motto of the Swiss Handball Federation’s (SHV) bid for the EHF EURO 2026 and 2028. The first half of the bidding phase has been played, now it’s time to keep your fingers crossed!

Tonight at 6:15 pm the time has come: Germany opens the Handball World Championship against the united team from Korea! The excitement and anticipation are on the increase, even at mm sports, which is responsible for the design and implementation of the Fanzones in Berlin, Munich and Cologne for the German Handball Federation (DHB).
