EHF EURO 2024: 6 cities are in – the host cities for the European Handball Championship in Germany have been announced!
In June 2018, Germany was awarded the EHF EURO 2024, and now it has been decided where it will be played: The European Men’s Handball Championship, which will be held in Germany for the first time in January 2024, will start in Düsseldorf. Other host cities are Berlin, Hamburg, Munich and Cologne, which already hosted the IHF Handball World Championship 2019. The city of Mannheim was able to assert itself as the sixth host.
The venues are the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin, the brand new SAP Garden in Munich, the SAP Arena in Mannheim, the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg and the Lanxess Arena in Cologne. As a real highlight, the opening match is planned in the Merkur Spiel Arena in Düsseldorf, where a new attendance world record for a handball match can be set with more than 50,000 seats!
