Success for a strong trio: Men’s EHF Euro 2028 to be held in Switzerland, Portugal and Spain!
In 2028, the men’s EHF EURO will be held in Switzerland, Portugal and Spain. This was announced by the Swiss Handball Federation (SHV) at the EHF Congress in Vienna on Saturday. The trio of applicants led by the SHV presented a convincing joint concept, which includes the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, home ground of Real Madrid, as the venue for the final weekend.
Jürgen Krucker, Managing Director of the Swiss Handball Federation: “We would like to thank the mm sports team from Munich for their trustful cooperation. After the general conditions changed several times during the ongoing bidding process and communication posed special challenges to everyone, the project was successfully brought to a close also thanks to the support of mm sports.”
The mm sports team created the overall concept for the bidding process and took over the project management for the compilation of all bidding documents for the European Handball Federation EHF. The mm sports team was also responsible for the preparation, budget and implementation of the presentation of the bid at the EHF Congress in Vienna and managed all service providers.
