German Ice Hockey Federation (DEB): Bid for the 2027 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship

The German Ice Hockey Federation will host the 2027 IIHF Men’s Ice Hockey World Championship. At the end of May 2023, the delegates of the member federations of the Ice Hockey World Federation IIHF decided this in Tampere, Finland, and awarded the right to host the 2027 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship to the German Ice Hockey Federation e.V. (DEB). The tournament will be held in Düsseldorf and Mannheim in May 2027.

Together with the German Ice Hockey Federation, the mm sports team led by Daniel Battistel and Anja Ebitsch supported the entire bidding process, prepared the bid documents and planned and implemented the congress presentation in Tampere. The bid presentation was supported on site by ex-national player and media professional Christoph Ullmann, who is now acting as World Cup ambassador for 2027.
