On November 17, 2018, the hosts German Cancer Aid and 1. FSV Mainz 05 welcomed the FFIT participants from a total of 15 Bundesliga / 2. Bundesliga clubs. More than 200 motivated members identified in 59 pairings the eventual winner, the heated but fair matches were played in classic Soccer5 Courts. Highlight was the award ceremony and the coronation of FC Ingolstadt 04 as the first title holder.
More than 700 men between the age of 35 and 65 have already lost an average of 6.11 kilograms and have changed their lifestyle sustainably. The twelve-week prevention program “Football Fans in Training” – intensively supported by the German Cancer Aid – is extremely successful also in its second year and has been further expanded to now 19 Bundesliga clubs.
At the last weekend in October, as part of the prevention program “Football Fans in Training”, a friendly match between the fan teams of FC Ingolstadt 04 and 1.FC Nuremberg took place. Before the game, both fan teams were guests at the Audi Sportpark and experienced it during a joint stadium tour.
