The FIFA Women’s World Cup™, which takes place in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand this year, will feature FIFA Fan Festivals in all nine Host Cities. The successful event format goes far beyond sport to offer all fans a fun destination to watch all World Cup matches together on big screens, in addition to enjoying the best of music, entertainment, local culture and cuisine.

On 18 December, not only did the grand World Cup final take place in Doha, but the successful FIFA Fan Festival also closed its doors: many years of conception and preparation and work-intensive weeks of implementation on site have more than paid off: since the opening on 19 November, the 145,000-square-metre venue has been visited daily by an average of 70,000 fans from all over the world, who have taken advantage of the wide-ranging offer.

On 2 December, the FIFA Fan Festival™ already attracted one million visitors in its first two weeks! Fans from all over the world have been celebrating a peaceful big football party together in front of the impressive setting at Al Bidda Park in Doha since the opening on 19 November.

The FIFA Fan Festival goes global! If not all fans can come to the FIFA World Cup, bring the FIFA World Cup to the fans! Six cities will host International FIFA Fan Festivals across the globe to bring the FIFA World Cup 2022 to the doorstep of fans.

11 cities, 917 hours of live football, 646 bands, 323 hours of live music, 7.7 million visitors, free of charge and a peaceful celebration – numbers speak a definite language.

One of mm sports’ long-term projects is becoming reality. In the course of the buildup phase to the 2018 FIFA World Cup FIFA revealed the FIFA Fan Fest Ambassadors during a side event at the FIFA Final Draw in Russia.

Football fans from Russia and all over the world now know where they can enjoy the matches of the 2018 FIFA World Cup together in an exciting, friendly and unique atmosphere, as the venues for the FIFA FanFest events in the eleven FIFA World Cup Cities are announced.

The FIFA Fan Fest got the prestigious German Stevie® Award in the categories Live Event and Marketing Campaign of the Year. The Golden and Bronze Stevie® Awards were handed over to FIFA representatives and the long-standing consultants of mm sports from Munich at the Stevie® Awards ceremony on 27 March 2015 in Berlin.
