Premiere of the reimagined FIFA Fan Festival™ in Qatar 2022 – FIFA presents the fan experience event of the future
Just a few weeks are left until the start of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, the world football association has big news to announce.
“FIFA presents a reimagined fan destination and on-site entertainment experience for fans at future FIFA World Cup™ and FIFA Women’s World Cup™ events called the FIFA Fan Festival™. Beginning with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, this multidimensional, inclusive event will provide new ways for fans to celebrate their shared passion for football and experience the best in music, entertainment, local culture, food, games and lifestyle trends in a true festival environment,” the official press release reads.
Tension and anticipation are rising in the mm sports team, as we have been accompanying the project as Strategic Lead Agency for many months. In the past, we have been designing and implementing the events of the former FIFA Fan Fest™ since 2006, and now the entire team is looking forward to the next milestone in the development.
FIFA additionally announced that, “Following its debut in its new form in Qatar later this year, the FIFA Fan Festival will premiere at the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ at the tournament in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand in 2023.“
As with previous editions, mm sports supported FIFA with the following services:
- The development of the overall strategy and concept for the FIFA Fan Festival™
- The development of the rights and marketing concept
- The ongoing project development and management, infrastructure planning as well as coordination/communication with the Supreme Committee and their lead agency fischerAppelt for the implementation on site
- The creation of cross-platform communications concepts, management of the digital communications agency, content production and provision of the communications managers
