50 years of German Cancer Aid (Deutsche Krebshilfe) – Social Week 2024

Joint campaign in professional sport across several sports to mark the 50th anniversary of German Cancer Aid (Deutsche Krebshilfe) – aim: raising awareness for the fight against cancer with campaign match days organised by the easyCredit BBL, PENNY DEL, Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga, DAIKIN HBL, Tischtennis Bundesliga, Hockey-Bundesliga, Volleyball Bundesliga and with the participation of several Bundesliga, 2nd Bundesliga and 3rd Liga clubs, as well as the German Ski Association.

Highlight activations in favour of German Cancer Aid

  • Bayer 04 Leverkusen: sleeve badge in the 1st DFB Cup round
  • FC Schalke 04: Special jersey & special match day
  • PENNY DEL: league-wide campaign match day with standardised warm-up jerseys for all 14 clubs and special referee jerseys

mm sports formed the link between German Cancer Aid and all participating partners of the Social Week and was responsible for the following services:

  • Idea and concept development for the 50th anniversary sporting activities
  • Overall project management and control of the service providers
  • Coordination with all leagues, associations and project partners
  • Support in the communication and implementation of the numerous measures
  • Evaluating the project components and adjusting the focus if necessary
