European Championships 2022: Munich’s biggest sporting event for 50 years has started! Our partner Deutsche Krebshilfe is participating with many activities.
Exactly 50 years after the 1972 Olympic Games, Munich is once again hosting one of the biggest international sporting events: the European Championships 2022, at which the official European Championships in 9 sports will be held. Our partners will use this major sporting event in the Bavarian capital to get children and adults excited about physical activity and health promotion with their on-site activities.
Besides the competitions of the professional athletes, “The Roofs” – a colourful festival of diversity – invites everyone to get active themselves. At the stand of the German Cancer Aid (Deutsche Krebshilfe) there are various offers featuring the prevention campaigns “Exercise against cancer” and “Clever in sun and shade”: the sun cream shower provides sufficient UV protection and with the UV check guests can test the quality of their sunglasses on the spot. Many other sporting activities invite visitors to take part; these are also offered by the Bavarian Handball Association, with which German Cancer Aid has a strategic partnership.
All information on the European Championships Munich 2022 is available here; more details on the prevention programmes can be found on the website of the German Cancer Aid .
