Prevention shoots the goal: mm sports is pleased – together with the hosts German Cancer Aid and Mainz 05 – about the successful first “Football Fans in Training” tournament!
On November 17, 2018, the hosts German Cancer Aid and 1. FSV Mainz 05 welcomed the FFIT participants from a total of 15 Bundesliga / 2. Bundesliga clubs. More than 200 motivated members identified in 59 pairings the eventual winner, the heated but fair matches were played in classic Soccer5 Courts. Highlight was the award ceremony and the coronation of FC Ingolstadt 04 as the first title holder.
Afterwards, the teams traveled by official team bus, vans or private cars to the OPEL Arena, where participants, supervisors, fans and project managers enjoyed a healthy buffet, short interviews and the first tournament pictures to end an eventful day. The mm sports thanks the Soccer Arena Bingen, the 1st FSV Mainz 05 and the German Cancer Aid for the great cooperation and the success of the first FFIT tournament! Thanks also to all the active participants, the coaches and the traveling fans who have cheered their teams!

Football fans in training (FFIT): More exercise, a more active lifestyle, healthier diet, sustained weight loss: Football fans in training is a free offer for all obese fans of participating clubs to get rid of a few kilos – and to train right in the heart of their club. The 12-week free programs are carried out by the clubs usually once every six months. Meanwhile, the prevention program for (X)XL football fans is offered by 19 clubs in the Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga. More about the program: fussballfansimtraining.de.
